Time has flown! This is the last Godalming High Street Farmers’ Market of the year. The first Farmers’ Market next year will 30th March 2018 Jerry’s cooked pork sausages in a French stick are delicious for a late breakfast or lunch and he will now have them for you to buy uncooked, together with his lamb, pork and smoked fish products from Tillingbourne Farm. I know he is making the sausages today. Come and chat to him and Glorya.

Dear Customer Delicious food & an opportunity to take part in the BBC pandemic project Imbhams Farm Granary: James is continuing with his hummus: made from UK grown dried Peas, gluten free and an excellent source of protein, plain and coriander flavour. He has his locally grown oats, which make delicious creamy porridge, muesli, bread mixes and much more.

Come and talk to the producers, who raise the turkeys, chickens, ducks, pigs and lambs and know where they live and what they are fed. The recent scandal of Hepatitis E being transmitted by sausages and pork products from Europe- mainly Holland and Germany- highlight the importance of the traceability of your food. UK pigs do not have the HEV G3-2 strain of Hepatitis E.

We have a new producer joining us Lynda Potter, of Lynda’s Kitchen. Lynda is planning to offer a range of home cooked foods that will be suitable for vegetarians like: Chocolate slice, cakes and cheese scones and some for vegans like: red bean chilli, nut loaf, sausage rills, and cakes. The types of food on offer may vary on the day. This is a new venture for Lynda and I’m sure she will be happy to receive any feedback.
